Looking to exchange in international trade, Kamehameha I has the Hae Hawaiʻi commissioned with the help of Capt. Alexander Adams and Capt. George Beckly. The Union Jack is incorporated in the spirit of diplomacy and a sign of aloha to Great Britain.
